Cox Farms

We went to Cox Farms the first official weekend of their fall festival.  We knew that the following week I was having surgery on my foot and would be on crutches so it was the only chance we were going to have to check it out.  It rained most of the week leading up to the fall festival.  We've had a lot of rain over the past month or so.  Thankfully it cleared up and the day we went turned out to be a beautiful day!

Paige and Virginia are a great age for the fall festival right now and they had a great time.  They got to go down lots of big and little slides, pet a cow, go on a hay ride and even hang out with some goats.  They really impressed me with everything they were willing to do.  Last year we took them on a couple of slides- this year we could barely keep them off of the slides.  Last year they were freaked out by the goat village, but this year they wanted to go in and were fine in there with the goats all around.  They even petted a goat or two.

 Paige is already enjoying herself.
 Virginia's not quite so sure.
Virginia and I checking things out.

Virginia checking out the "big pig."  They were enthralled by this woman dressed in the pig suit, but they wouldn't actually talk to her or touch her.  It was pretty funny.
A Cox Farms version of American Gothic starring Virginia and Paige.
Paige is the cutest cow ever!
Mommy is a pretty cute cow, too.
 Virginia's an adorable piggy.
Paige is also a cute piggy.
This bunny was one animal the girls wouldn't touch.  I did pet it, though.
"Red caboose in the back."  Virginia and Paige loved getting to play on this freight train.  It reminded them of their freight train book.
 Eating apples.
Paige ran into a little apple eating roadblock at the bottom of her slide.

We all had a great time at Cox Farms and the girls slept really well that day at nap time.  I think we successfully wore them out.

Kendall made animal noises for all the "animals" in your pictures, but loved the Elmo picture the best!
