Atlantis Waterpark with Dee and Dude

On Friday we went to Atlantis Waterpark at Bull Run Park with Dee and Dude.  We'd never been there before, but we will definitely be heading back next summer.  It was great!  They have one area that has no standing water, just stuff spraying and pouring on you.  We didn't spend much time in that area, although we did all go under the BIG bucket when it dropped water on us a couple of times.  There are two pools: one is about a foot and a half deep at its deepest, while the other one is 5 feet at its deepest (I think, we didn't go into one area of it).  The big pool is roped off into sections.  We spent a lot of time in two of the sections of it, one was 2 feet and the other was 4 feet deep, which meant that Paige and Virginia had to be carried, but they loved the slides, so it was fine.  We spent over 4 1/2 hours at the water park, the majority of that time we were all in the water, so I didn't get a lot of pictures.

Paige and Virginia with the mermaid when we first got there.
Paige going down the slide and Virginia waiting her turn.
Virginia sliding into the 2 foot deep water.
Virginia rushing to Dee and Paige
Paige and Virginia playing with Dee.
The slides directly behind them were the ones they loved in the deeper water.
We never ventured over near the big slides on the right- the girls are nowhere near big enough for them.
Virginia and Paige on the boat slide again.
SPLASH!
I wish we'd gone to Atlantis earlier in the season so we could have spent more time there this summer, but that's okay.  We know about it now and we'll be sure to head back next summer.  Thank you, Dee, for the water park idea and for going with us!  We look forward to doing it again next summer!
