Paige and Virginia the morning of their birthday.
Friday evening Mimi and Pops came over to bring Paige and Virginia their birthday presents. Paige and Virginia were very excited to open them.

We also let Paige and Virginia open a couple of small gifts from us on their birthday. They knew they were getting their big gifts on Sunday when they got their dolls, but we also got them doll clothes and Lego sets.

One of these years we'll remember to buy candles for their birthday cake or cupcakes and we'll stop using the Scooby Doo candle.

Saturday we headed down to Grandma D and Rufus' house to see them, Aunt Grit, Dave, Matt, Ashley and Aubrey. Dee and Dude went down for the day, too. We celebrated Paige, Virginia and Aubrey's birthdays with gifts and cake. Apparently before we got there Aunt Grit took Aubrey shopping and they bought make up for all three girls. They had so much fun with that.

Paige, Virginia and Aubrey set up their own beauty salon in the basement and then recruited "customers." All of us women got our make up done by the girls. They let me choose my colors, so I went the for the lightest ones I could.

Sunday morning we headed to Tyson's Corner for lunch and shopping at the American Girl store. We met Dee, Dude, Mimi and Pops there. Our lunch reservations were at 11, which is what time the store opens, so we weren't able to get the girls their dolls before lunch. Fortunately, they had dolls at the cafe that they could borrow for lunch.

We finished lunch and shopping at the American Girl store- where Paige and Virginia not only got dolls from us, but got stuff from Mimi and Pops and Dee and Dude. They made out like little bandits. Once we finished there we headed for the Lego store so that Ben could get something to make with the girls. They found a Star Wars Lego set to make Jabba's Barge and couldn't wait to get home and work on it.When we got home Paige and Virginia got to open their gifts from Dee and Dude and Uncle Todd, Aunt Sandra and Keats. Dee and Dude had just gotten back from Alaska so they brought their gifts back with them.

Virginia and Paige had a great birthday weekend. We're so glad we were able to celebrate with so many family members. And I still can't believe my babies are 6!
