Thanksgiving

Once again we went to Knoxville for Thanksgiving.  We changed things up this year, though, and we stayed in downtown Knoxville.  That way we were close to restaurants and the start of the 5k on Thanksgiving morning.  We had a great time staying down there!  Wednesday night we ate at a great Mexican tapas restaurant.  Thursday we ran the race and then spent most of the day at Ali and John's with the family.  Friday I went for a run through the University of Tennessee campus and then we walked back down there to go to the bookstore.  We have to be ready for the UT/VT football game in September.  We also did some ice skating and had a nice lunch right near our hotel.  We look forward to staying downtown again this year.

Thanksgiving excitement wore Virginia out.

I stopped during my run to take this picture of the statue of Pat Summitt near the basketball arena.  One of the greatest basketball coaches of all time.  May she rest in peace.
More pool fun.

Playing football at Uncle Bob and Aunt Beth's house
Cousins having fun with photo booth props.
Silly girls!
Goofy family picture!
On our way home we made a stop at Grandma D and Rufus' house so the girls could get some play time in with Jennesa and Jada.
