Memorial Day Weekend Trip to Grandma D and Rufus' House

The Saturday of Memorial Day weekend we headed down to Grandma D and Rufus' house for the weekend.  Some of our relatives from Ohio were down for a long weekend, so we headed down there to see them.  Paige and Virginia were super excited to get to play with Aubrey!

After dinner and a rousing game of kickball where the younger adults (Matt, Ashley, Chelsea and Will) beat the socks off of the older adults (Ben, Aunt Grit, Dude and me) this is where Paige, Virginia and I spent the night- in a tent on Grandma D and Rufus' screened-in porch.  This sounded like a good idea when I suggested it a few weeks earlier, but since it ended up being about 40 degrees that it wasn't such a good idea, but we did it anyway.  We even lasted all night out there.  We invited Aubrey to spend the night out there with us, but she was smart and chose to sleep inside with her parents.

We had a great time at Grandma D and Rufus' house.  We're glad we were able to spend some time with Aunt Grit, Dave, Matt, Ashley, Chelsea, Will, Aubrey, Dude, Grandma D and Rufus.  We look forward to seeing the Ohio folks again in the fall for Matt and Ashley's wedding!
