Thank you Mimi and Pops!On their actual birthday Paige and Virginia went to school like they normally do on Thursdays. They wanted to take a treat and wanted to make sure that even their friends with allergies could enjoy a treat so they took popsicles. They got to make and wear birthday crowns. They had a fun day at school and when they got home Daddy made them what they'd asked for for their birthday dinner- chicken nuggets, tater tots and green beans. While dinner was cooking Paige and Virginia got to decorate their birthday cakes that I baked for them. Then after dinner the girls opened their birthday presents from Mommy and Daddy and then we all ate some birthday cake. Paige and Virginia loved the baseball gloves, Strawberry Shortcake aprons and hats, Strawberry Shortcake Play-Doh set, Barbie guitar, doll bathtub and hair styling set!

Paige and Virginia had a fabulous fifth birthday! I can't believe their actually 5!The day after their birthday Ben took the day off of work and we spent the day together, just the four of us doing whatever Paige and Virginia wanted to do. We started with breakfast at McDonalds, then came home and set up the new Slip-N-Slide. After playing on that for awhile we packed up a picnic lunch and headed to the pool for awhile. Then home for naps and then we went out to get Paige and Virginia fried shrimp for dinner and then frozen yogurt for dessert. Then we went home to go to bed so we could all be well rested for Paige and Virginia's birthday party the next day.
We had a great time spending the day together as a family. We might have to make that an annual birthday tradition.
