Cox Farms

Fall means trips to Cox Farms.  This year we made two trips, but I only took the camera once.  We went the Sunday of preview weekend, which was a normal, kind of cool, fall day.  We had fun going down the slides, going on the hay ride, trying to feed the goats (who wouldn't eat our goat food!) and eating kettle corn.
Virginia, Ben and Paige racing down the dinosaur slide.
Then we went back a couple of weeks later on the Friday that Ben was furloughed due to the government shutdown.  We picked the girls up after they had lunch at Minnieland and headed over to Cox Farms equipped with plenty of sunscreen because it was a HOT day.  Once again we had fun doing all of the normal things at Cox Farms.  We also went to visit these bunnies, who I think were being more productive on their "Capitol Hill" than Congress was being on the actual Capitol Hill.
I love the juxtaposition of the sled and snow with Paige and Virginia in their shorts and t-shirts.

Following Daddy through the corn maze.
Virginia trying out the rope swing.
And Paige on the rope swing.
After a couple of hours at Cox Farms we were ready to head home to some air conditioning.  On the way, though, we stopped at Kuleyos for some frozen yogurt- yum!  Because of some traveling we weren't able to make it back to Cox Farms again as a family, but Paige and Virginia got to go a third time with Dee and Dude while Mommy and Daddy were in Charlottesville for Homecoming.  From what I heard they all enjoyed it.  Dude especially loved the slides on his first ever trip to Cox Farms!
