Paige and Virginia's First Wedding!

The weekend of October 11-13 we went to Ohio for Matt and Ashley's wedding.  That Friday we picked Paige and Virginia up as soon as they got back to Minnieland from kindergarten and we headed to Ohio.  We spent Friday night at Grit and Dave's house- after we finally got there about 8pm.

Saturday morning we got up, ate breakfast and went over to Grandma Betty's for awhile.  Unfortunately Aunt Debbie was out of town for the weekend visiting her very ill aunt.  Pretty much everyone else in the family was busy, too.  We only got to see Grandma and Aunt Ruth, who came over for a little while.  Dude went with us and we all hung out on the front porch and talked- and watched some horses and buggies drive by.

We left Grandma's house to go get some lunch at Subway, then we took a little tour of Fredericktown to show the girls where Dee and Dude went to school, where they got married and where Dude lived when he was a boy.  Then we dropped Dude off at Aunt Judy's house before heading back to Aunt Grit's to get ready for the wedding.

When we were told that Matt and Ashley were getting married in a barn we had no idea what to expect.  It was awesome!  The barn was beautiful and so was the wedding.  Everyone seemed to have a good time- I know the four of us did!

Right after Aubrey walked back up the aisle after the wedding she ran over to Ben and jumped in his arms.  I missed that moment with the camera, but I got this great moment of the two of them sharing a very sweet look.

How cute are these four?!  I love the way they walk in a line- oldest to youngest.

There was this big hill at the house where the wedding was and right after they ate dinner all of the kids took off running up and down the hill.  They had so much fun!

Jada was quite the little dancer.  I'm not sure I could count the number of different dance partners she had throughout the night.  I think she danced with every man she knew there- and her Grandma Jude.

Paige and Virginia really enjoyed their first wedding.  I think part of what made it so much fun for them was having their cousins there to play and dance with.  They always have fun when they get to spend time with Jada, Jennesa and Aubrey.  It's too bad we don't all live closer so they can do it more often.

Matt and Ashley, congratulations on your wedding!  You are a wonderful couple and we hope you enjoy your life together!
