Ben hanging up the big spider web while the girls play on the porch.
We spent the evening of Ben's birthday carving pumpkins. Paige and Virginia each had their own pumpkin and they drew the faces on them and helped us do the carving. They also helped clean all of the innards out of their pumpkins. They weren't big fans of that part, but they got in there and got dirty. Somehow, though, I managed to not get pictures of the completed pumpkins. I don't know how that happened.
I think Paige's face says it all in this picture.

Virginia's not sure about pumpkin guts on her hands.
The afternoon of Halloween there was a costume parade at the girls' daycare, so Ben and I went to watch. The kids were all so cute in their costumes.

We went around our block and to one other street to trick or treat and then we headed home because the girls wanted to hand out candy. While we were trick or treating Mimi and Pops we handing out candy at our house, but they were happy to let Paige and Virginia take over when we got back home. It wasn't long before we ran out of candy once Paige and Virginia started giving 3-4 pieces to each child who came along! That was fine, though, because then we went in, had a piece or two of candy and then headed to bed. We had a fun Halloween once again!
