Today we took Paige and Virginia to the doctor for their 2 1/2 year well check up. They did great. It took a little while for them to warm up to the doctor, but by the time we left they were laughing at him and talking in front of him- which is an accomplishment with our shy little girls.
Paige and Virginia are big, as we well knew. The doctor mentioned at one point that he has to remember they're only 2 1/2 since they look like 4 year olds. That might have been a bit of an exaggeration, but they definitely are big. Paige is in the 90th percentile for height and weight and I didn't see Virginia's percentiles, but since she's a little bit bigger than Paige we can assume that she's somewhere in the 90s. Here are their current stats:
Paige: 34lbs 8oz, 37 1/2 inches tall
Virginia: 35lbs 2oz, 37 7/8 inches tall
At this appointment we had to fill out an autism screen just like we did at 18 months old. The doctor just barely glanced at them, but after watching the girls he told us we had nothing to worry about in that department. We weren't concerned, but it's always nice to hear from the doctor that we don't need to be concerned.
Paige and Virginia are progressing just as they should be in every way. We have two healthy, happy little girls. And we couldn't be happier about that.
