Our family time started Thursday, the 23rd. That was the day that Uncle Lloyd came into town, so that evening we went to Mimi and Pops' house for dinner.

Part of the fun Thursday night was taking all of the presents from under the tree and piling them on and around Pops. This was just the beginning of it.And then the real pile began.
And it got bigger.
And bigger until we could barely see Pops over the top of it.
Christmas Eve is my dad's birthday, so went out to Dee and Dude's house to celebrate Dude's birthday and also to have Christmas with them and my grandparents. It was so much fun, I'm really glad we did it that way.
Dee had stockings for Paige and Virginia with all kinds of goodies in them.
And Dee made Paige a new blue blanket! Paige was so excited about it.
Paige and Virginia each got their own "Sing-a-ma-jig," which they just call their babies. They really like them, and Ben likes playing with them, too. Paige immediately wanted to give hers a hug.
They also got Baby Elmos, which were, of course, a big hit. Unfortunately within a few hours one of the pacifiers went missing. Thankfully Dee and Dude found it a couple of days later and we got it back yesterday. Virginia was immediately in love with her baby Elmo.
As was Paige.
I guess Paige's Baby Elmo was tired from his time in his box, so he needed to take a nap.
Paige and Virginia also got these art trays with lots of art supplies. They were happy to have Great-Grandma Denick drawing on their trays with them.
The whole family got snow shovels from Dee and Dude (Ben and I asked for them), but Virginia and Paige ware the only ones that have used theirs so far.
I didn't get any pictures of it, but when we were eating lunch at Dee and Dude's house Virginia started playing peek-a-boo under the table with Great-Grandpa Denick. Then when we were sitting down eating dinner she would pull up the table cloth and yell "Grandpa" while looking for him under the table. This was the first time she'd called him Grandpa and it was so cute to see her trying to play with him. Grandma and Grandpa gave us a picture of them and I hung it on our refrigerator. The girls love to go look at it and say "Grandpa!"
Christmas morning we got up and headed over to Mimi and Pops' house. Santa had taken all of Paige and Virginia's presents over there and had even moved our stockings over there. We got there and Paige and Virginia were very excited to find their new backpacks! Paige's looks like a frog and Virginia's looks like a monkey.
Paige helped hand out gifts.
And looked adorable waiting to open her presents.
Paige playing with her new camera while Virginia reaches for more presents.
Virginia was super excited about her Tickle-Me-Elmo that she got from her great-great uncle Charles.
Paige also loves her Tickle-Me-Elmo from Uncle Charles.
Virginia being silly.
Virginia and Paige taking a break from opening gifts and having a snack while sitting on the piano bench with Mimi.
Paige contemplating her new big girl underwear.
And then she put some on.
Virginia thought bear needed some underwear, but one pair wasn't enough.
Virginia also thought putting underwear on her head was fun!
One day I asked Paige and Virginia what they wanted to get for each other for Christmas. They both said a "ball" so I got two balls- one for each of them. They had a great time throwing them around Mimi and Pops' house.
Mimi and Pops got Virginia and Paige a train set for Christmas and they wanted to get it right out and play with it. It's been a big hit in our house.
