Halloween weekend

We had a fun Halloween weekend. The girls spent a good portion of it wearing their costumes. They seemed awfully comfortable in them- and looked awfully cute in them, so we let them wear them. Friday night Ben and I went out to dinner and to a concert. We saw a band called Guster that we've been listening to for years, but hadn't seen in a few years. They are doing a short tour in honor of the 10th anniversary of one of their albums. They played an hour long set and then took a short break before coming back out and playing the album "Lost and Gone Forever" in its entirety. It was an awesome show! I always love going to shows where the headlining act opens up for themselves. We had a great time, and were home by midnight, so it wasn't a ridiculously late night.

Saturday we hung out at home most of the day. We put the girls in their costumes in the afternoon so that we could get some pictures. They weren't really in to getting their pictures taken, but we got some decent ones. Then after the girls' afternoon nap we put them back in their costumes and took them to their Mimi and Pops' house to show them off. We were planning on going to a few houses in Mimi and Pops' neighborhood, but ended up just going to two. Then we came home and ate dinner, played for a bit and then the girls went to bed.

On Sunday we celebrated Ben's birthday with lunch at his parents' house with his parents and my parents. It was fun! The girls went in costume so that Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Dude could see them. We had yummy tortellini for lunch, opened Daddy's presents, ate cake and ice cream (which Paige and Virginia LOVED) and played. All the food was wonderful and the company couldn't be beat! Thank you for putting it all together Mimi and Pops!
