Our Exciting Saturday

Last Saturday my parents and grandparents came over so that my dad and grandpa could take down part of a wall in our kitchen in preparation for us getting new countertops. My parents also brought the girls their birthday presents a couple of months early. They got them tricycles! So while the men worked on the wall, my mom, grandmother, the girls and I went to Toys R Us to get the girls helmets so that they could ride their tricycles. We had a great day!

The girls love their new tricycles! I had them out on them again yesterday and they really enjoyed it. I see a lot of tricycle time in our future...

In other news, Paige has a new word! Yesterday she was looking through a book that has pictures of everyone in the family. She came to the picture of my dad and said, "Dude." She kept repeating it and now says it everytime she sees a picture of him. It's really cute! It'll be interesting to see if she'll say it to him tomorrow. She's also trying to say other names. She'll say something that resembles "Cindy" when asked who my mom is. And she also says something that resembles "Keats" when shown a picture of Keats and asked who he is. I think we might be on the verge of a word explosion with Paige! Now if we could just get Virginia to call all animals and balls something other than "gah."
