First Couple of Days at the Beach

The day we got to the beach the red flags were up and it was really windy and chilly.  Paige and Virginia were insistent about playing in water, though, so we headed to the pool.  With their Puddle Jumpers they went right into the pool and started swimming.  We also got them goggles this year, so they had fun wearing those as well.  That Sunday the pool water was quite cool, but that didn't slow Paige and Virginia down.

After dinner the four of us and Shannon went for a walk on the beach.  I've never seen Paige and Virginia take to someone as quickly as they took to Shannon.  And she was nice enough to take Paige and Virginia for walks every night after dinner- and to play with them and let them follow her around.  Basically she was great with them and I wish we could have brought her home with us, but she had to go back to her children. :)

On Monday the red flags were still but, but it was a little warmer so we headed out to the beach for awhile.  Paige and Virginia had a great time playing in the sand and going back and forth to the ocean to get buckets of water with Daddy.

Shannon was nice enough to bring gifts of beach toys for Virginia and Paige.  They had a great time making cupcakes in the sand with the sets Shannon brought.

After lunch we headed to the pool where Paige and Virginia had a great time playing in their new inter-tubes.

This was just the start of another great week at the beach.  We're so happy that we're all able to go to the beach together every year.  It's always so much fun!
