Yesterday we went to my parents' house to celebrate Easter. The girls had been there since Friday so Ben and I went up for the day and to bring the girls home.
We took the girls their Easter baskets that the Easter Bunny had left at our house for them. They got chocolates, shoes for the beach and a Fisher Price camera and phone.

Mimi knitted blankets for them.

Nothing makes Paige happier than a new blankie!
Thank you Mimi!

She had to taste it to make sure it was perfect.
It was!

My mom go the girls their Easter dresses and also got barrettes to go with them.
Paige wore her barrette for about 10 seconds- long enough for me to snap this picture.

And Paige lets Virginia pick it up.

Paige says, "Mommy, stop taking pictures of me while I'm eating!"

Paige wasn't real happy that she couldn't get the real egg open.

So Paige went over to get some of Virginia's treats.

After lunch we headed for home. We learned something important this weekend. The girls can now climb right out of their pack-n-plays, so we need to find a new way for them to sleep away from home. They spent the weekend sleeping in bed with their grandma and no one slept well.
Both girls fell asleep and slept the whole way home- and we drove around once we got close to home just so that the girls could get a little more sleep. They were definitely tired after we got home, though, and were pretty grumpy. Thankfully they slept well last night, but that didn't keep Virginia from falling asleep at breakfast this morning.
Overall we had a great Easter! The girls really seemed to enjoy themselves- especially during the Easter egg hunt.
Oh, and one more exciting thing that happened this weekend- Virginia pooped on the potty! Twice- once for my mom and once for me! And Paige peed on the potty for my mom. Now, we're not ready to potty train them yet. But at least it's a start.
